Pocket movies

Affairs from Mobile World Congress in Barcelona approved, that mobile brands are trying very hard to introduce the public new cell phones with variety of additional services, which should attract potential customers. Creators have focused on improving Internet connection, possibility of watching videos or TV, playing games or quality of music, services included in a small electronic device as mobile phone.Samsung introduced new F490, phone based on TV and video, which has 3-inch by 2-inch, which is ideal for watching movies what was never before experienced on mobile devices.Nokia was more successful, as they showed more new cell phones on the conference at once. Their video-oriented N96 has 2.8-inch screen size and includes as storage capacity to hold "more storage video than most of us watch in a month." 16 GB which could be expanded to 32 GB could be enough for it, what do you think? It has also a build kick stand, thanks to which users can prop it on a table.Another device, N78 was made with a focus on social networking and is equipped with new music service, mapping/navigation and camera. Both phones are pretended to be shipped in second quarter.Sony Ericsson continue with producing its line of Walkman phones with W980, with which is possible to play music without opening the clamshell. Also Samsung joined introducing new phones with music-playing phone F400. Both Sony Ericsson and Samsung focus on enhancing sound quality, rather than emphasizing on number of songs. All these devices will soon hit the market.

Pocket Films Festival

The dimension of using a cell phone is underestimated. You know that you can send e-mails and text messages, share pictures, listen to music but did you know that you can shoot movies with your cell phone? Not a short video but an actual, over an hour long movie? Wow..Never thought it would have gone so far. It's the smart french people. Already in 2005, when there weren't that many high-tech cell phones as now, they came up with the idea that it is worth a try.Because as a movie maker, or an artistic creative person, you see and discover a lot of new things every day. You notice things, people around you, nature..and you wanna capture certain moments or scenery. You don't wanna let it go cause you wanna share it with others.Since you don't have a camera with you 24/7, for logical reasons, the thing you do in such a situation is using your cell phone. Many people used this opportunity and so it comes that in June this year, already 4th edition of the Pocket Films Festival is taking place in Paris, organised by the " Forum des Images ". Becoming so popular the festival is gonna take place for the first time in Japan as well.Is it a new form of cinema? Is it where the future is gonna take us? Or is it just an experiment? From historical view there has always been a coherence between movie making and technology. So maybe we're ready for the next level.

Should they count it? Will Ballots in the Envelopes Decide For Clinton or Obama?
by Milota Sidorova

Democrats seem to be up into another serious problem just before the edge of the knife & the upcoming primaries in Wyoming, Mississippi and Pennsylvania possibly shapes out steady race among Senators Clinton and Obama. Unlike their chef rival Republican John McCain gains the time to confirm his campaign, the Democratic party solves the troubled January' s delegate primaries in Florida and Michigan. According the Chairman of the Democratic National committee, Howard Dean, both of states ukase decided to move up the dates of the primaries. Earlier ballot would imply the nominations among the candidates. And it did. As Dean suggested for NBC television, they just couldn't changed the rules in the middle of the game. That was not fair, neither it didn't respect the campaigns of challengers. Although both states ran for Clinton, she has never gain the delegates. To make it clearly enough, there is almost 313 votes left. In a case of skipping the violated results in the both states Obama, who now slightly leads the position among the delegates could face later critics from Clinton's supporters about the transparency before the final nomination in August. Moreover, in such a close race, each vote matters. Dean proposed the additional counting, but stood up against the distribution of the delegates following the January's results. Translating this into the language of action, the second primaries are more than necessary. How and when? Let' s take a short overview. In the case of repeating the primaries, the additional funds have to be found. Early discussions mention more than $6 million dollars. For this moment senators just hope that the party could finance it. Trying to answer the second part of the question, the mail friendly way was proposed. Fencing, that this is an election standard for Americans traveling abroad or nursing home or everyone disabled to vote personally. One could say it is just throwing oil into the fire & moreover, who can guarantee the security of the ballots in the pending envelopes. Who could guarantee the proper counting of thousands maybe almost million votes and still avoid the duplications? While Senator Obama proposed almost Solomon' s answer, that he would follow everything, that the Democratic Party accepts, even the second primaries, the democrat supporting American citizens may just hope, that whilst they build nice sandy castles, another one gets the real one.Just like our grandmothers used to say & where the two are fighting, the third one takes it all.
